We are an organization specialized in designing, manufacturing and assembling of a vast range of steel structures.  Our company mainly operates in the civil engineering sector.  Metalec Prilep has been established in 1970 as an independent company. 

The production programme of the company comprises:

  • Thermo electric units, industrial buildings, objects of public character, sport facilities, commercial and residential buildings, agricultural farms, freezing buildings and warehouses.
  • Bridge Constructions.
  • Industrial Carpentry.
  • Roofing and facade.
  • Second hand parts and atypical equipment for thermo electric units.
  • Re montage tasks on thermoelectric units Bitola and Oslomej.
  • Agricultural Equipment.  

From its beginnings until present time, Metalec transformed itself into a contemporary and up-to-dated organization.  This transformation occurred due to the following:

  • Application of modern technology in the production process.
  • Outstanding teamwork presented by everybody in the firm.
  • Discovering and penetrating in new, mainly foreign markets.
  • Maximum activation of the existing production capacity.
  • Consistent education of the existing employees.
  • Employment of new, sophisticated and highly educated employees.
  • Investing in marketing and development. 

The shareholder structure of Metalec Prilep has been changed recently.  As of 2007 numerous financial institutions have replaced the old shareholders (the employees) by acquiring their shares.  The shareholders' structure had the following dimension in June 2007.

The Development Strategy of Metalec includes:

    • Free Economic Zone which is still in the preparation process, i.e. the company expects support from the local and national government.
    • Alternative Energy:
      • Solar Energy: Metalec consistently works on enhancement and production of solar collectors.  The Government of Macedonia indirectly supported this project by providing financial compensation for anyone who installs such system in his/her home. 
      • Wind Energy: the preparation processes are done and the company expects the announced concessions from the central government of the country.
      • Hydro energy: in cooperation with the Technical Faculty from Bitola programmes for two small hydro energy plants have been developed.  The company applied on the recently held tender in Skopje and the expected results are more than positive. 
      • Bio diesel: experiments are undertaken with the Asian energetic plant Myskantus, which is very famous and in use in the world of bio diesel producers. 
      • Geothermal Waters: in its beginning phase.

Standards: Production of all kinds of steel constructions by the standards corresponding with the needs of the client: DIN, UNI, GOST, AFNOR or any other requested standard. For production of the steel construction we prepare complete Attest documentation, needed for technical reception( transfer) of the object.
